Learning and development

Our ability to deliver top quality products and services to customers depends on the knowledge levels and skills of our staff. We are therefore committed to providing extensive learning and development opportunities for our staff to equip them with the skills to operate professionally and efficiently wherever they work in the Group.

Learning & Development Strategy

IL&P use a blended approach to Learning and Development. We achieve this by mixing various event based activities such as classroom training, seminars and workshops with on-the-job experiential learning.

We have also made a significant investment in learning technologies (e-learning) all hosted on a Learning Management System (LMS). LMS enables us to provide a tailored personal development plan to the employee.

Study support

Staff are encouraged to pursue further studies relevant to their career in financial services. Course and exam fees for recognised qualifications are paid for and study assistance provided. Refundable staff loans are available to pursue relevant third level qualifications.

Professional trainee schemes

The group operates a number of special trainee programmes for Accountancy and Actuarial. These programmes are open to school leavers and graduates. Successful applicants combine on-the-job experience in a relevant area with study for their professional qualification. They enjoy full salary, generous study leave and exam fees and associated costs are paid for.
